Ivory Coast Wood Carvings Poss. Baule male and female antique

Description

Beautifully carved wood statues of husband and prega;nt wife. Highly detailed including scarring on both bodies . The male figuree is holding his very long plaited beard and she has a highly detailed hair do. and long scarred neck. Both figures have original loin cloth covers. The above noted details are an indication that thee figures were from the Ivory Coast in Africa and probable Baule Tribe. These were acquired in 1992 in Kenya from a personal collector who had retired years before.
